New Challenge #85 at Glitter N Sparkle

YAY,
It's Sunday again.
Well I've been a busy little bee this week,
I was asked to make some cards to donate
for a charity sale this weekend.
So I've spent most of the week making
around 100 quick cards for all occasions.

Then as well as that
I've been trying to get myself organised
for my Sisters Hen Do next weekend.
Forgot just how much you need
to sort out for a holiday.
but panic over I found my Passport (lol)
got my Spending Money,
and even remembered Travel Insurance.
Just need to do the Washing, Ironing
and pack my Suitcase

Anyway here is my project for this Week.
I'm using an Image that I already own,
by the very talented
Mitzi Sato-Wuiff's Images:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Male Card/Masculine Colours

Our Sponsors this week are:-

The Doodle Garden who are offering
3 Images from their store

The Stamping Boutique who are offering
3 Images from their store
(4 if you used one of their images)

Eureka who are offering
5 Images from their store

QKR Stampede who are offering
5 Images from their store

Aurora Wings who are offering
an $10 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Warrior and His Pack of Wolves Digi Stamp
from Aurora Wings
(one of our sponsors)

I thought this Image would be perfect to make a
'Game of Thrones' Fathers Day Card.
And I know a certain someone who thinks
it is the best thing out at the moment.
With the Wolves and Snow,
it just reminded me of
Jon Snow of the Nights Watch,
with Ghost, Summer and ShaggyDog...

To began with I used an A4 sheet of
Pearl Black Card
(Ross Papers)
and cut it to make a 16.5x24cm Rectangle.
Then Scoring it at 4cm, 8cm and 16cm
to make the folds.
This is my Base Card.

Next I printed off the image for this project,

on White DC Paper.

I coloured in my Image
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -                Vanilla
                                        Satin
                                        Dusky Pink (Mouth)
               Hair -                 Burnt Sienna
                                        Slade
                                        Cool Grey 5
                                        Black
               Tunic -              Cool Grey 2
                                        Pastel Blue
               Belts -               Burnt Sienna
                                        Cool Grey 3
                                        Black
               Boot/Gloves -    Burnt Sienna
                                        Shale
                                        Cool Grey 3
                                        Black
Fur Cloak -        Cool Grey 1
                                        Cool Grey 3
                                        Cool Grey 4
               Outside Cloak - Black
Inside Cloak -    Cool Grey 4
                                        Cool Grey 5
               Scarf -               Cool Grey 4
                                        Cool Grey 5
                                        Black
               Snow -              Pastel Blue
               Sword -             Cool Grey 4
               Wolf Mouths -   Dusky Rose
               Wolf Eyes -       Gold
                                        Poppy
Wolf Fur -         Cool Grey 1
                                        Cool Grey 2
                                        Cool Grey 3
                                        Cool Grey 4
                                        Sandstone
For the Sword Blade I used a Metallic Silver Gel Pen.
And for Highlighting I used a Black Fibre-tip Pen
on the Outside and Inside of the Cloak,
the Scarf and the Sword.

For the Sky I sponged on a bit of Light Grey Ink

(Me-To-You),
just to give it a bit of a stormy feel.

Then I using a 10x13.5cm rectangle

of Pearl Black Paper
(Ross Papers)
I Die-Cut out the Largest MFD008 Rectangle
(Nellie Snellen)
and used the frame that was left
to place my image inside.
making sure that the White Paper was slightly
larger so that it made a border
around the Black Paper.

Next I cut out a 11x14.5cm Rectangle of

Dark Grey Card
(stash)
and placed my framed Image on it.
And place it on the back facing fold
of my Base Card.

For my Sentiment,

I've used the 1st Line of the Night's Watch Oath
(from G.G.Martin's Game of Thrones)
'Night gathers, and now my Watch begins.'
and 'Happy Father's Day'
and printed it off using the
'Pristine' Font on my computer.
I then Backed it on to some
Pearl Black Paper and
then again on Dark Grey Card.
And placing it in the centre of the
front facing fold of my Base Card.

And to finish off my card
with a touch of embellishment,
I added some Black with Silver Circle Candies
(Candi, Cardwork Crafts).

New Challenge #84 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hello again,
and yet again it is Sunday.
Well it is been an interesting week again.
My Papa has gone to join my Mum over in Canada
for the next few months
(probably till British Summer Time kicks in and its warm enough to come back lol).
Also yet again I've got my Partners Niece
stopping the weekend,
and she is being very vocal about
not wanting to watch my other joy of life,
the F1 Grand Prix,
but tough for her hehe .

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Female Card

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Fitztown who are offering
3 Images from their store

Sassy Studios who are offering
4 Images from their store

Inky Impressions who are offering
an $10 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Cupid Digi Stamp
from Sassy Studios
(one of our sponsors)

I began with an A4 sheet of
Pink Card
(stash)
and cut it to make a 14cm Square Card.
On the edge I used the 'Hearts' Boarder Punch
(X-Cut).
Hint:- Punch out the Boarder first before cutting and folding to size.

Next I printed off the image for this project,

on White DC Paper.
Using the Majestic Squares Die-Cut, (6pc)
(Spellbinders)
the 1st and 2nd on the Image
and the 5th on its own.

I coloured in my Image
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Satin
                                     Dusky Pink (Cheeks)
                                     Burgundy (Lips)
               Hair -              Caramel
                                     Sandstone
                                     Mustard
                                     Buttercup
               Crown -          Gold
                                     Blossom
               Dress -           Blossom
                                     Dusky Rose
               Tights -          Blossom
                                     Pastel Beige
               Bow -             Gold
               Wings -          Blossom
                                     Dusky Rose
I used the Blender Pen to meld and fade
the colours together on the
dress and the wings.

To give the Die Cut and the Card

a bit of colour and distressed look,
I blended the Blossom and Dusky Rose
around the edges using
the Pens and a blending Sponge.

Next to give the Image a bit of a sparkle,

I sprayed it all over with
Iridescent Glitter, Spray and Sparkle
(Crafters Companion).
Then I added Honey Yellow Sparkling Glitter,
(Craft Planet)
to the Bow and Arrow.
Pink Sparkling Glitter
(stash)
was put around the edges of the Wings
and the Ruffle on the front of the Dress.
And White Holographic Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
for the Inside of the Wings and the Crown.
(Yellow, Pink and White are all Loose Glitters)

Then I used a Spare Strip of the Pink Card

and I wrapped a 4.5cm Pink Lace
(stash)
around it with a 1.5cm
White Satin Glitter Edge Ribbon
(stash)
on top.
I placed the Strip on the Left side of the Card
and then added a Pale Baby Pink Feather
and a Blossom Pink Feather
(stash)
to the right of the Ribbon on the Lace.
And another Blossom Pink Feather
on the Top Right Corner.

I off set placed the Image on the Base card.

Then I added
a White Satin, Feather and Pearl Flower
(stash)
on the right corner with the feather.
Added a collection of
Pink and White Paper Roses
(stash)
on the Top and on the Bottom Right of the Image.
To add a bit of Glitz to the White Roses
I added some Star Dust Stickles
(Ranger)
mixed with a hint of the Pink Glitter.

To finish off my card
I Handmade a Lace Circle
by using a Strip of 3cm White Lace
(stash)
with some Thread stitched through the Bottom
then pulled tight and tied off.
On top of that I placed the smaller Die-Cut
which was distressed and blended the same.
Then using a 'Heart' Ornate Scrollwork Stamp
(Clear Choice, Royal Langnickle)
stamped on using Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento).
And finally I placed a Row of Flat-backed White Pearls
(stash)
along the Bottom of the Card.

I'd like to enter this Card in the following Challenges:-

New Challenge #83 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi Everyone,
Yes its that time of week again,
and its been a hectic week.
We now have the newest addition arrived,
and we still have my Partners teenage nieces here,
plus for the weekend his youngest Daughter.

Question: has anyone learnt the trick of getting
teenagers to clean up after themselves???

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Tag It

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Lacy Sunshine who are offering
3 Images from their store

Stitchy Bear Stamps who are offering

Di's Digi Downloads who are offering
an $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Dark Angel Digi Stamp
from Stitchy at Stitchy Bear Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

This week I decided to make a Jewellery Box and
matching Birthday Card for a friend.
Because the Present I had got her
was some nice Wing Earrings,
and I thought the Image suited.

To make the box I followed a Template for

'That's a Wrap!'
(My Time Made Easy - Pretty Packaging
Designed by Lauren Meader)
But I altered the base so that it became a 10cm Square.

I began with using an A4 sheet of
Purple Pearlised Card
(Ross Papers)
Cut out the altered template, Top and Bottom,
and using my Ultimate Crafters Companion
to do my scoring.
for the flaps I wanted them to look nice
so I used my Ivy Blossom Corner Punch
(Emboss plus Punch - Fiskars)
And so that I can lift the Lid up I used a
'Sweetie' Punch
(Card Craft Punches)
half on the card,
to make a fancy hole.
And for the Inside just a Sheet of A4
Pearlised Black Card
(Ross Papers)
cut to a 10cm square with 1cm
folded down flaps
to make it stand inside the Box.
then I punched through 2 holes,
for the Earrings to go through.

For the Box Sleeve I used an A4 sheet of
Champagne Pearlised Card
(Ross Papers)
And cut out the altered Sleeve Template.

To decorate the Box I used a sheet of
Starry Purple Vellum
(stash)
which I Die-Cut out using the 3rd largest Circles (8pk)
(Sizzix Nestables)
Then I cut it in half and place
one on each of the top semi-circles.
With a strip of Purple Satin Ribbon
(Stash)
along the top.

Next I made My Tag by Die-Cutting
a scrap left over from the Champagne Pearl Card.
Using the Largest Tag Die-Cut
(free from Papercraft Essentials)
and then using the same Die cutting out some
Starry Purple Vellum
(which I trimmed down a little to give an edge)
Then I Fussy Cut out my Little Image
and added it to the bottom of the tag.
Using a 6mm Extention Hole Punch
(XCut)
I punched a hole in the top.
Then finished it off with a Purple Paper Rose
(stash).

To tie the Top together I pierced 2 holes in each flap
and threaded the Purple Ribbon through.
Then threaded the Ribbon through the Tag
and Tied it off with a Bow.

I had printed off 2 images for this project,

1 Little for the Tag and
1 Large for the Card.
Here is a close up of the image.

I coloured in my Images both the same
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Satin
                                     Dusky Pink (Cheeks)
                                     Black (Lips & Nails)
                                     Lavender (Eyes)
               Hair -              China Blue
                                     Slate
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Necklace -      Slate
                                     China Blue
                                     Black
               Bodice -         China Blue
                                     Slate
                                     Black
               Skirt -             China Blue
                                     Cornflower
                                     Black
               Trousers -      Lavender                                                                               Lilac
                                     Slate
               Wings -          China Blue                                                                             Slate
                                     Cornflower
                                     Lilac
                                     Pastel Blue
                                     Lavender

Next I made my matching Card.

I started off with an A4 sheet of
Champagne Pearl Card
which I cut down to make a 12cm Square Card.

Next I Die-Cut out the Starry Purple Vellum
I used the largest Ornate Square Frame
(XCut).
And Fussy Cut out my Large Image
and placed it on top.

For a Sentiment I used
the 'Enchanting' Clear Stamp
(Fairy Belle Collection - Julie Lee)
using Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento).

To finish off my card
I Handmade a Double Bow from
the Purple Satin Ribbon.
Put a strip of Pastel Purple Glitter Ribbon
(Crafting Ribbon - Craft)
across the Bottom Corner.
I added some Purple Paper Roses.
And 9 Flat-Back Purple Gems,
on the corner under the Ribbon.
(stash).
