New Challenge #2 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun

So sorry,
This posting is a little late.

I had it all set up and ready to go,
but you know (as you do)
you end up saving it instead of publishing it,
and always when you are away from home
and unable to access proper Internet.
DUUHHH!!!!

Anyways this week has been a very good one,
and I have had some great News.
To start with I would like to congratulate
my Sister and Brother-in-Law
on the birth of their beautiful little Girl on the 9th.
I just can't wait to have a big hug with my new Niece Evie.

Also on the 10th
(on the other side of the Family,
my Brother and Sister-in-Law)
I get to wish my Nephew Samuel a Happy 2nd Birthday.
I just can't believe how quick the time has gone,
it still only feels like he was just born as well.

New Challenge #175 at Glitter N Sparkle

Happy Valentines Day,
I would like to tell you all to make the most of today
to tell the people who are important to you that you love them.
It doesn't have to just be your partner, but also your family members.

My beloved partner doesn't really believe in Valentines Day,
because as he say he loves me every day of the year
so why is this one day more important than any other.
Though a card and a bunch of flowers would be nice lol.

New Challenge #174 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hey Everyone,
It's the Chinese New Year tomorrow.
So I thought I would give you a quick little guide to it
(Courtesy of the Daily Telegraph )
(by Rozina Sabur and Cameron Macphail)

Chinese New Year 2016-
The Year of the Fire Monkey
The New Year, also known as the Spring Festival,
is marked by the Luni-solar Chinese Calendar,
so the date changes from year to year.

Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals
which appear in the Chinese zodiac.
The Chinese zodiac is divided into 12 blocks (or houses),
just like its Western Counterpart,
but with the major difference being that each house has a
time-length of one year instead of one month.

The Personality of the Monkey!
People born in the Year of the Monkey are characterised as
lively, quick-witted, curious, innovative and mischievous.
The general image of people in this Zodiac Sign is of
always being smart, clever and intelligent,
especially in their career and wealth.
In addition, their gentleness and honesty
brings them an everlasting love life.
Lucky Numbers: 1, 7, 8
Lucky Colours: White, Gold, Blue
 Lucky Flowers: Chrysanthemum, Alliums
Lucky Directions: North, North-west, West

Which Chinese Zodiac sign are you?
Your sign is derived from the year you were born
in the Chinese lunar calendar.
The years below are a rough guide,
but if you were born in January or February
it may be slightly different.
The Chinese Zodiac

What does your Chinese zodiac sign mean?
In Chinese astrology, the 12 animal Zodiac Signs
each have unique characteristics.
  1. Rat: Intelligent, Adaptable, Quick-witted, Charming, Artistic, Sociable.
  2. Ox: Loyal, Reliable, Thorough, Strong, Reasonable, Steady, Determined.
  3. Tiger: Enthusiastic, Courageous, Ambitious, Leadership, Confidence, Charismatic.
  4. Rabbit: Trustworthy, Empathic, Modest, Diplomatic, Sincere, Sociable, Caretakers.
  5. Dragon: Lucky, Flexible, Eccentric, Imaginative, Artistic, Spiritual, Charismatic.
  6. Snake: Philosophical, Organized, Intelligent, Intuitive, Elegant, Attentive, Decisive.
  7. Horse: Adaptable, Loyal, Courageous, Ambitious, Intelligent, Adventurous, Strong.
  8. Sheep: Tasteful, Crafty, Warm, Elegant, Charming, Intuitive, Sensitive, Calm.
  9. Monkey: Quick-witted, Charming, Lucky, Adaptable, Bright, Versatile, Lively, Smart.
  10. Rooster: Honest, Energetic, Intelligent, Flamboyant, Flexible, Diverse, Confident.
  11. Dog: Loyal, Sociable, Courageous, Diligent, Steady, Lively, Adaptable, Smart.
  12. Pig: Honorable, Philanthropic, Determined, Optimistic, Sincere, Sociable.

I seem to have been born in the Year of the Fire Dragon,
Interesting !!!!!!!!

Meadow Green
Leaf Green
Pear Green

I cut out around the Square of the Fireworks,
making sure to fussy cut around her Legs.

I knew that I wanted something related to the Chinese New Year.
So I found this lovely Monkey Badge SVG file.
(Wikimedia)

And I used the Cordoba Font to cut out
the 'Happy Chinese New Year'.
(both cut on the Brother Scan and Cut)

For my finishing touches I added some
Iridescent Mauve Pink Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the Wings of the Fairy.
To her Eyes and the Pearl Bracelet around her Arm
I added Glossy Accents.
(Ranger)
