Hello again,
So it's that time of week again,
and its been a very weird week.
The crafting juices just haven't
been flowing freely,
I've spent quite a few hours scratching
my head trying to drag ideas out of the ether.
Anyways for this week.....
the Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Show us some Snow
Our sponsors this week are:-
Inky Impressions who are offering
a $10 Gift Cert
Sassy Studios who are offering
4 images from their store
Crafty Sentiments who are offering
3 images from their store
This is my project for this week:
I used the Little Honeys Holiday Belle digi stamp
For my Base Card I used a Light Blue Card,
(stash)
Which I folded into a Tent fold card.
Then I used Blue Snowflake
Forever Friends Backing Paper,
(Docrafts)
and backed the two facing sides of the Card.
To make the Castle I used a template
from StampARTic.
Which I cut out of White Curious Shimmer Card
(Jellybean Crafts).
I then cut it out again on the patterned paper,
I used Grey Castle Stone Wall
(Erismann Brix),
But I cut off the top buttresses off.
To make the Windows and Door,
I Die-Cut out some of the
White Curious Shimmer Card
using all 3 (2 of the Middle size) Tag Dies
(free from Papercraft Essentials - 100)
then I cut out just the Middle bumps
(on the Large and Middle size Tags),
and the Middle three bumps on the Small Tag
and cut them down to 'Window' Length.
and for the Doors I used the left over
side bits from the Large Tag
placed together and cut again to size.
Using Pure White Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
I added 'SNOW' to the Bottom of the Windows,
Doors, Buttresses and Roof,
I then decoupaged the Castle up with
foam stickies and attached it to the
back fold of the Base Card.
I then coloured in my digi image
in using my Promarker Pens.
I used Chameleon White Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
for the inside of her dress and sleeves,
and used a Crystal White Gem (stash)
for her earring.
I then cut her out and placed her on the
front of the Base Card
using foam stickies.
For my Sentiment I used a
'Merry Christmas' Stamp
(free from Papercraft Essentials - 99)
and I heat embossed it onto
some White Curious Shimmer Card,
using Watercolour Ink Pad (Versastamp)
and Tinsel Silver Embossing Powder.
Then I Die-Cut it out using the smallest
X-Cut Rectangle Parenthesis 2.
And for the finishing touch
I added Holographic Silver Snowflakes
(Stash).
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges :-
