New Challenge #220 at Glitter N Sparkle

HAPPY NEW YEAR,
and I wish you all the most joyous
2017.

Well after a lovely time away,
(despite my parents getting stuck in Norway,
where it took them 4 days to get home
due to the weather being so bad,
their Flights were being cancelled all the time.)
we are all back home where we belong.

But I think the best news, we as a family have had,
is my Brothers news.
He and his wife are expecting,
and yes to make it more fun they are having
un-identical TWINS.
(hence this weeks project)
I am wishing them both and my nephew
all the best in the coming months,
and I can't wait to meet my new
Nephew and Niece.

The Theme at
New Beginnings

Our Sponsor this week is:-
A Day For Daisies who are offering
a $12 Gift Certificate

week is:-

To begin with I used 6" Square White Card
(stash)
To which I added a slightly smaller square of  Pearlised Purple Card
(Ross Papers)
I then placed a layer of
Cream Pastel Flower Backing Paper.
(Ross Papers)
I also made 2 Rectangle Panels for the Card
from the Pearlised Purple and
Cream Flower Paper.
One smallish Rectangle
and one more like a Strip
to go across the Middle of the Card

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Satin
Primrose
Lemon
Yellow
Sunflower
Gold
Amber
Pale Pink
Baby Pink
Sunkissed Pink
Dusky Rose
Meadow Green
Apple
Pastel Blue
I cut the Image out into a Square
and Backed it on to some more
of the Pearlised Purple Card

Next I took the 'Twins' Sentiment
(Mink Designs)
and Cut it out around the outside Circle.
I then Backed it onto a Die-cut Circle
(Sizzex)
of the Pearlised Purple.
I added 2 Light Pink Pearls and

New Challenge #190 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi,
Well as you all know I've been finishing off my College course
and had a few exams over the last couple of weeks
but now I'm finally finished.
I've completed my AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping and Accounting,
and looking forward to September when I start my Level 3.
In the mean time I am now starting to look for work
(which is a scary thought after not being able to work for so long)..

(One of our sponsors)

To begin with I used Polkadot Embossed White Rectangle Card Card
(stash)
on which I used a 5mm Corner Punch

Buttercup
Lemon
Sunflower
Filling her Dress in with Crystal Glamour Dust
(Deco Art)

I then used an Embossing Folder Swirls
(X-Cut XCU515125)
around the Image and trimmed,
and again used the 5mm Corner Punch.
I then backed it with Pearlised Pastel Yellow Card
(Ross Papers)
and trimmed the corners of that as well.

Along the Left Side of the card I used some
2cm Verigated Glitter Yellow Organza
(Kanban - Glitz Ribbon)
end.

For the Sentiment I used the
'Youth is a Gift' Clear Stamp
(Acid Drops & Whatnots)
with Tuxedo Black Ink
(Momento)
which I placed on the card with a bump in the middle,
so it looks like a ribbon.

Around the Top Right Corner
I placed 1 Medium White Paper Rose
and 2 Small Yellow Paper Roses
(Craft)
end.

Finally following the Polkadots on the Base Card,
I added 2mm Pastel Yellow Pearls
(Anita's)
along the left side of the Card,
and across the corner on the Bottom Right.

New Challenge #164 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello Again,
Well I'm pleased to say that I am feeling back to normal
(well as normal as I get)
again, but still awaiting news from the Hospital.

This week has been rather good,
it was my Step-daughters 12th birthday this week
(they grow up way to fast).
We had a lovely meal out to celebrate on Wednesday.
And opening of the presents was met with joy and tears.
LEGO is just the best present ever,
we got her some Minecraft Lego sets
to keep her entertained.

Then last night we had my Mum and Dad,
come for a visit and another lovely meal out.
I don't get to see them that often
so love spending time with them.

Midway Post Challenge #30 at Open-Minded Crafting

Hello again
to another beautiful Saturday.
Well this week has certainly been a trying but interesting one.
Lets just say I've very glad I have my crafting to turn to,
otherwise I am quite sure my sanity would have departed along time ago.

My darling partner has been called to work on his days off to cover
for his counterparts holiday so that comes to nearly 2 weeks without a break.
So not many hugs going around as you can imagine.
(And with things going the way they are in my life at the moment I
need all the hugs I can get.)

On a positive note though I might be accepted on a
Part-time Training Course to help me get back to work,
albeit working from home due to my disabilities.

Yet again it is the halfway point of our Challenge
over at Open-Minded Crafting,
and I am here sharing my Inspiration Card with you all.
I wanted to try something this week that I
have admired before but never done,
a Spinner Card

Up In The Air

3 Images.

My Project for this
week is:-
Over The Rainbow Digi Stamp
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I chose a 17cm Square White Card
(stash)
I covered the entire of the front of the Card with
Rainbows AquaBlue Digital Paper
(Happy Hearts Studio - Brighter Days)
And to make the Window aperture in the Card
I used the Large Plain Die from the
 Framelit Ovals Collection
(Stampin' Up!)

Then using Aqua Blue Paper
(stash)
I Die -cut out a Frame for the Window
using the Large Scalloped Die and the 2nd Largest Plain Die.

Next I printed the Image off twice,

one of them a reverse of the other.
I coloured the Image
using my Promarker Pens.

                                                           Child -            Vanilla (Skin)

                                                                                   Satin (Skin)
                                                                                   Blush (Cheeks)
                                                                                   Sandstone (Hair)
                                                                                   Caramel (Hair)
                                                                                   Duck Egg (Romper Suit)
                                                                                   Cool Aqua (Romper Suit)
                                                                                   Cool Grey 1 (Wings)
                                                           Rainbow -      Poppy
                                                                                   Yellow
                                                                                   Honeycomb
                                                                                   Grass
                                                                                   Cyan
                                                                                   Amethyst
                                                           Cloud -           Cool Grey 1
                                                                                   Cool Grey 3
                                                           Birds -            Sandstone
                                                                                   Caramel
                                                                                   Cococa

Once both Images had been Fussy Cut out,

I placed them both together with a length of
White Thread down the middle
(so it can spin)
and attached it to the 'Window'.

For the Inside of the Card I started by covering it with the
Aqua Blue Paper.
Then using White Cloud Aqua Digital Paper
(Happy Hearts Studio - Brighter Days)
I Die Cut out 2 Scalloped Ovals,
one with the center removed.

For the Sentiment I use Psalm 127:3
which I hold very dear to me,
as I do truly believe that
'Children are a gift from the Lord'.

This was printed out on White DC Paper
and Die-cut out with the 2nd Plain Oval Die,
then edged with the Cyan Promarker.

I added a few embellishments just to finish it all off.
All around the Outside edge and Inside of the Card,
and also around the Outside Oval Window
I used Rainbow Edging Strip Peel Offs
(Range)
Then I added a Rainbow Braid Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
across the bottom of the Card.
I also added Holographic White Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the Wings, on both sides.
And finally I added two 1cm
Deep Aqua Blue Chipped Rhinestones

to the top corners.
