New Challenge #100 at Glitter N Sparkle

Happy Crafting

Well its been a bit of a rough week 
for me health-wise speaking.
But at least I am much better than 
I was in the middle of the week.

I reckon it was because I did my 
Ice Bucket Challenge
(and its cold enough already in England).
Even though I already donate every Month
to Macmillian Cancer Reserch,
I believe in the Cause and did mine for them
and gave another little extra donation.

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

To began with I cut out a 18cm Square Card
from White Pearlised Card.
(The Range).

I then cut out a 17cm Square
from Light Blue Card
(stash)

I then printed off the Image on
White DC Paper,

and coloured it in 

using my Promarker Pens.

I then used a Blue Metallic Gel Pen

on the Lace Hooks on her Boots, 
and the ties on the Bodice.

And a Gold Metallic Gel Pen
on the Clips on the Bodice,
and the Suspenders.

Using the Trim Boarders A5 Die Set
(XCU503057 - X-Cut) 
I Die-Cut out the Oval Frame,
2x the Flower Corner 
and 2x the Flower
using White Glitter Sheets
(Craft - SIL Plc)

I also Die-Cut out the Oval Frame
using Blue Velvet Upholstery Digital Paper
(Tin Teddy - Etsy)
but only used the Oval Insert.

On my computer I wrote the Mae West quote
 using the TrountKing Font
in Black on a Blue Background.
(I tried to match the Upholstery colour)
Which I then Die-Cut out using an Oval Die
(Go Kreate)
and placed on top of the Oval Insert 
left over from the White Glitter Frame.

To finish my Card off I added
some little flowers
(which are the left over centres of the Die-cut Flowers),
and 3mm Round Flatback
Mid-Blue Pearls
(Anita's).

Yes its been my Birthday this week 
though it was a very quiet affair.
Just me and the other half 
spending the day together.

Well life has been upside down for various 
reasons over the last few weeks,
but things are finally looking like getting back to 
normality now for us,
for which I am thankful.
A few changes which we both have to get use to
(like a new job for him),
but as I always say things could be a lot worse 
so we manage through them.

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

Butterfly Belle Digi Stamp

To began with I used a Pre-cut Folded Squares 
White Card.
(stash).

I then cut out two 10.5cm Squares and 
two 5cm Squares from White DC Paper.
Two 5cm Squares from Black Glitter Card
(stash)
and three 5cm Squares from Grey Pearlised Card
(Ross Papers).
I Rounded all the Corners off 
using a 5mm Corner Punch
(X-Cut)

I then printed off the Image on 1 of the 10.5cm Square
White DC Paper,

and coloured it in 

using my Promarker Pens.

I then used a Silver Metallic Gel Pen

on the Blossom Leaves in her Hair,

and on the Butterfly

On the other 10.5cm Square I used the 
Butterfly Script Clear Stamp
(Kanban)
with Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento).
On the Butterflies I sponged on 
Light Grey and Dark Grey Ink
(Me-To-You - Colour Box)
and Silver Pigment Ink
(DoveCraft)
before pressing the stamp.

On the 1st of the 5cm White Square
I printed off a Butterfly Sentiment, 
(I found it on the Internet
(but I couldn't find anyone to credit it to)).
which I then Coloured in the 
Whole Square using 
my Cool Grey 1 Pen.

On the 2nd 5cm White Square
I used a Clear Script Stamp
(loaned off a friend)

with Silver Pigment Ink.
and over the top 
I used a Clear 'Happy Birthday' Stamp
(free from Papercraft Inspirations)
in Tuxedo Black Ink.

On all of the White DC Paper Squares I 
distressed all around the edges
using Soot Black Distress Ink 
(Tom Holtz - Ranger)

I Die-Cut out Flowers
(LR0156 - Marianne Designs)
1 on White DC Paper and 
2 on Black Pearlised Paper
(Ross Papers)

And using Silver Glitter Card
(stash)
I Die-Cut out 2 different Butterflies
(LR0113 and LR0114 
- Marianne Designs)

To finish my Card off I added
Holographic Silver Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the Flowers and the Butterfly 
on the Image.
And to the word Butterfly on the Sentiment.
Also I added to the centre of the Flowers
Clear Crystal 10mm Round Flatback
Dotted Rhinestone Gems.

back on track again. 
though I have just realised that when this is 
written up, that means I have to go clean the house.
URRRGGGG
trust me it looks a complete mess.
Though what I expected which children around,
cats living 24/7 in the house, 
(because their bedroom has been taken over by a Dog)
oh yeah and children's friend's 
stopping over every other night.
And to top it all I ran out of Washing Powder 
(till I could get shopping) 
so still got a mountain of clothes to get through.

OHHHHH
my head hurts.
I'm gonna curl up in a ball and see if any nice
Pixies wanna do it all for me lol.

Using 10mm Red Satin Ribbon

I handmade a Bow
to which I Clipped in the Middle
a Metal Heart Charm
(stash).

Marriage/Love

Ghost Bride Digi Stamp 

from Aurora Wings

To began with I used an A4 sheet of
Silver Pearl White Card,
(stash),
which I folded to make a Gate Fold Card and trimmed
to make a 14cm Square Card

I printed off the Image on White DC Paper,

and coloured it in 

using my Promarker Pens.

  Face/Skin -  Vanilla
Satin
Blush
 Pastel Blue (Eyes)
Maroon (Lips)
Lilac (Eyeshadow)
  Rotted Face - Pastel Pink
Dusky Pink
Dusky Rose
Poppy
Pastel Beige
Ivory
Hair - Sandstone
Caramel
Veil -  Ivory
Lilac  
                 Jewellery -  Yellow

Flowers -  Meadow Green
Mustard
Lavender
Lilac
Amethyst

I then Punched the corners of the Image 
with 3-1 Lace Corner Punch
(Fiskars).

I cut around a spare copy of the Image keeping 
just the Head, Flowers, Hand and Dress.
Placing this over my coloured Image I then 
sprayed it with Pearl Diamond Spray and Sparkle
(Crafters Companion)
to make the Veil Shimmer.

On a 12cm Square of Pearlised Purple Card
(Ross Papers)
I wrapped a strip of White Lace on the Left Side
and a strip of Black Lace on the Right Side
(both from Boyes Haberdashery)
I then placed my Image on top at an angle.

To show the contrasting sides I made 
2 'Wedding Bouquets'.
 For the Light Side I used
3 Cream, 2 Purple and 3 Lavender
Paper Roses
which I twisted together,
and handmade a Bow from 
10mm Purple Satin Ribbon.
For the Dark Side I used
1 Lavender Paper Rose,
3 Black Paper Rosebuds
and 2 Black Paper Carnations
which I again twisted together,
and handmade a Bow from
10mm Black Satin Ribbon
(all Paper Flowers from Stash,
all Ribbon from Boyes Haberdashery)

For my Finishing Touches,
I added Glossy Accents to her Lips
(Ranger)
and Night Sparkle 'Glitz It' Sparkle 
to her Eye Socket and Jaw
(DoCrafts, Papermania)

To  put my card together, 
I placed the Purple Square on the 
Left Gate Fold, 
and also cut another Square to match
which I place on the inside of the Left Gate.
