New Challenge #56 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hello everyone,

Well life certainly hasn't calm down yet.

But the family has nearly 
moved into their own house, 
but its been a week of cleaning, 
decorating and moving in.
Then I've got to do all the 
cleaning in my house 
when I get a spare minute.
I had to find some spare time 
(who needs sleep) 
to do this weeks card.

So this weeks Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:-

Add Some Black

For my project this week I used the 

Grim Reaper digi stamp 

from Sassy Studios (one of our sponsors)

To begin with I tri-folded an A4 
Plain Red Card (stash), 
then cut a Square on the right hand side 
and folded it in a triangle. 
Then using a Pearl Black Card (Ross Paper), 
I backed all the facing edges. 
I then hand cut 'Tombstones' of 
different sizes from some 
Pearl Grey Card (stash).

I coloured the Digi Image in using my Promarker Pens.
And to highlight the folds in her Cape 
I used Holographic Embossing Powder 
(Papermania).
And for the handle of her Scythe 
I used Tinsel Silver Embossing Powder 
(Papermania).

Then I cut out the Image and 

backed it onto the large 'Tombstone' on the left.

I printed off my 'Trick or Treat' sentiment 
and coloured that in as well with my Promarkers,
then cut it out as a small 'Tombstone'.

For the trim at the front of the card,
I used a Tonic Delicate Lattice Punch,
on Red Card.
And trimmed it up with a Plain Black Satin 
10mm Ribbon (stash)

And to finish off, 

I added some Ghosts and Bats, 
and the 'Spooky' words,
(Halloween Fun Stickers, Craft Planet).

As you can see when the corner comes down,
a ghost gives you a surprise.

New Challenge #55 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hi-di-hi all,

Well eventually I think my life might calm down 

from all this craziness eventually. 

Yes I still have family with me, 

but I have escaped one Mad house (!) 

and gone to look after my Grandma 

for the weekend while my Parents are away.

Aww I love her to bits and there is nothing that 

I wouldn't do for her.

So for this weeks challenge I had to get it all 

finished quick sharpish. 

I went  to my weekly card class, 

yes.. with my suitcase in tow (haha) 

then jumped staright on the train.

For all you die hard crafters out there,

you will understand the need 

for crafting before all else.

Anyways to get on, 

this weeks Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:-

Halloween 

For my project I used the 

Bobble-head Halloween Devil digi stamp 

from Bugaboo (one of our sponsors)

This week I decided because it was so close 

and the Theme is Halloween 

I would make a cute little 

Trick or Treat bag.

To start off with I used an empty ear-bud carton.

First of all I cut a strip of Plain Black Card

(my stash),

and on top of that I layered a nice 

Red String Ribbon (my stash),

with double-sided sticky tape.

I then bent it over and Glued it into place 

(using UHU Glue), 

to make the handle of my Bag.

I then cut a length off an A4 piece of 

Shiny Red Paper (my stash),

 slightly wider than the container 

and again glued it to the inside. 

I then turned the over hang over the top 

and glued into place.

Next using a Plain Red Card, 

I cut a length from A4, 

the same width as the container 

and glued that around the outside,

(making sure that it covered the 

overhang from the inside).

Using an X-Cut Bloom die-cut 

on the same Plain Red Card,

I chose one slightly bigger than the bottom 

of the container and glued into place.

Using the Sizzix Circle #2, 

I die-cut out a circle to fit inside the container 

from Pearl Black Paper (Ross Paper).

Then using 2 of the Sizzix Circle die cuts together 

I die-cut out a circle rim to go 

on the top of the container,

(also in the Pearl Black Paper).

To use the Digi Image I had so much fun.

The name gave me an idea that I just had to do.

So to start with 

I coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.

Then I cut out the Image and 

backed it onto some more of 

my Plain Black Card.

I then Decoupage it up on the Body and the star,

But the Head I had to make special,

so I set it with a Mini Card Spring

 ( Docraft Papermania),

and now it "Bobbles" about.

And to finish it all off, 

I added some Holographic Gold Glitter 

to the Star and Swirl,

some Holographic Silver Glitter 

to the Trident,

some Red Glitter 

to his Cape and Horns,

and some Black Glitter

to his shoes, hair and other highlights.

(The chocolates I added and had to fight hard to keep, just so I could take a picture.)

Well hey there again,
and if I'm back here, 
it must mean its Sunday again.
Well this week has been even more hectic than last week, 
as I now have family staying with me for a while. 
So I am escaping as much as I can into my own little crafting world.

This Weeks Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:

For my 1st Project this week I used the 
Don't be Sad Digi Stamp 
from The Stamping Chef (one of our Sponsors)

To make this card:-

I hand-cut the basic shape for my Base Card 
from tracing round the die cut, 
on a Cream Pearl Card from Ross Paper.
I then die cut some Pearl White with Orange Flowers 
Card (from my stash) with 
the Frame Circle from Marianne Design.
Using the Sizzix Framelits Circles #2, 
I cut out the inside circle from 
some plain Orange Paper that I had in my stash,
 then centred my cut out Image on top of that.
I colour the digi stamp in using my Promarker pens.
I used my own sentiment for this card, 
which I coloured in with the Promarker, 
and die cut out.

I then used some textured Orange paper, 
which I punched out using the Lace Trim X-Cut Punch,
which I put inside the Card.

To finish the card off I backed the sentiment onto 
2 Blue Paper Blossoms 
(from Dovecraft - Back to Basics Christmas). 
Then I put some Light Blue Ribbon down the edge, 
3 Orange and White Candi's on the bottom and 
some Silver Holographic Glitter 
on the words of the sentiment 
(all which are in my stash).

My 2nd Card for this week is the 
Lil Indian Harvest Digi Stamp 

from Digi Darla (one of our Sponsors)

To make this card:-

I used a Plain Orange Card for the back folded Card 
and the main picture is backed onto a 
plain White Card, both from my stash.
To make the rest I 1st Weaved some 
Orange Spotty and Red Spotty paper 
from 'Love from Teddy' 
(from the Making Cards Magazine 2/13)
together into a square. 
Then I die cut the corners out using the 
Sizzix Framelits Circles #2.
I then Punched out a 6" circle with 
the X-Cut Multi Shaper Blosson Punch, 
on White Spotty paper from 
'Love from Teddy', 
which I then cut into quarters, 
for the corners.
For the middle I used the X-Cut Scalloped Oval 
and die cut some of the White Spotty Paper, 
and for on top of that I die cut out the 
Digi stamp using the 
X-Cut Oval.

I used Promarkers to colour the digi stamp in.

For my extras on the card, 
I used the Orange Pearls from 'Anita's', 
all around the Scalloped edge, 
and in the middle of each of the Blossoms.
Then I made a Gold Ribbon Bow 
with a Copper Medium Gem 
for the left of the card 
and 3 Orange Spotty Feathers 
for the right.

New challenge #53 at Glitter n Sparkle

Well Hello All,
Yes it must be that time of week again,
and what a busy weekend I have had.
My Partners young Daughters have been here,
so they have done a card each as well this week,
(well with a little help from yours truly 
but shhh we wont tell)....

This Weeks Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Monochromatic - Shades of one Colour

For my Project I used the Hannah Belle Dress Up digi stamp 
from Fresh Brewed Designs (one of our Sponsors)

To make this card I used:-
Neon Pearl Pink Card from Craftstyle for the main card.
I also used some Dusky Pink Card from my stash, 
and Iridescent Metallic Peel and Stick Paper 
from Craft Planet.

I used Promarkers to colour the digi stamp in.

To make the centre I used 
the Sizzix Framlits Circles #2
and the X-Cut Blossom Die Cuts.
And to build the Flowers up I used 
the Sizzix Flower #20 Die Cut.
I also used a Leaf Die Cut but not sure who's it is as it is on loan to me at the moment from my 'mum-in-law'.

For the strip down the side I used
an X-Cut Heart Boarder Punch 
on some Plain White Card.
Then I added a Neon Pink Ribbon 
from my stash to the edge.

For my sentiment I used 
a Me-To-You Happy Birthday Stamp, 
with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

And to finish it off and jazz it all up I used some 
Neon Pink Gems from my stash and
Hot Pink Glitter also from my stash.

To make this card we used:-

A Navy Blue Card from my stash for the main card,

and for the backing paper we used 

one taken from my 'Christmas with the Wrinkles' 

by La Pashe CD.

For the sentiment we used 

Celebrate with a Bang Sentiment digi stamp 

from QKR Stampede.

We used Promarkers to colour both the digi stamps in.

To make the balloons the Wizard is holding 

we threaded some Silver Craft Wire through 

3 Dark Blue Glitter Pompoms (all from my stash)

and twisted them together.

And to finish the card off we used some 

Light Blue Glitter to highlight the magic rays,

and some blue pearls for the stars from my stash.
