New Challenge #170 at Glitter N Sparkle

Good Morning,
and welcome to my 1st post of the day,
Where we are saying Hello to the New Year (2016)
and Goodbye to the old (2015)

Think I am finally coming to grips with all the
changes that are happening in my life.
Finding the happy balance between responsibilities and fun.

I am also regretting the New Years Resolutions I made.
How many people make them then within a week
have given them all up and gone back to normality.
Really sometimes we expect ourselves to do miracles,
instead of setting realistic goals to achieve.
(though to be fair both of mine are realistic,
just so hard to keep the willpower going).

Anyway on with the crafting,
at least that keeps my mind busy
and off the other stuff lol xx

The Theme at
Tic-Tac-Toe

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Digital Delights who are offering
a $5 Gift Certificate for their store

Pattie's Creations who are offering
3 Images from their store

SLS Lines who are offering
3 Images from their store

My Project this
week is:-
1920's Flapper Charlestone Dancer Digi Stamp
from SLS Lines
(One of our sponsors)
My line is Distress/Button/Glitter

To begin with I used a A4 Sheet of Pearlised Champagne Card
(stash)
which I cut out an Art Deco Fan Base Shape.
(Brother Scan and Cut )
Using the rest of the Card I cut it into a 14cm x 20cm Rectangle.
Then folded it into 3 parts, at 5cm.and 10cm,
to make the Easel Card Base.

Next I cut out the Art Deco Fan Frame

from Metallic Gold Card,
(stash)
1mm smaller than the Base Shape.
(Brother Scan and Cut )

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Satin
Putty
Dusky Rose
Pear Green
Sunflower
Cinnamon
Cocoa
Walnut
Burnt Sienna
Cool Grey 5
Black
Metallic Gold
Then I fussy cut the Image out.
To make the Dress Sparkle and Shimmer I added
Crystal Glamour Dust Glitter.
(Deco Art)

To make the Distressed Backgrounds I cut out 2 Rectangles

from White DC Paper,
6cm x 8.5cm and 4cm x 13cm.
Then I used a sponge to drag and distress the Inks on the Paper.
I used Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo
and Walnut Stain Inks
(all Tim Holtz Distress Inks).
I then cut them to fit in the places I wanted them to be.
For the outside parts of the Fan
I just used the Inks straight onto the Card.

So the Card would stand up, I used a strip of
4cm Sparkle Gold and Walnut Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
Which I wrapped around a spare strip of the
Champagne Card and stuck to the bottom of the Card,
so that I made a lip for the Easel to rest against.

Finally I added 2 Brown Duck Feathers
(Trimits Decorative)
over the top and I secured them with a Beige Button.
(my Button Box)

I'd like to enter this Card in the
