New Challenge #173 at Glitter N Sparkle

Good Morning,

Well what a week it has been,
Started off with me feeling rather ill,
and a migraine which lasted for 4 days.
Then my beloved other half ended up in hospital
though he is doing ok now (thank goodness).

The Theme at
Embossing
(Dry or Heat)

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Arti Doodles who are offering
4 Images from their store

Lacy Sunshine who are offering
3 Images from their store

Lemon Shortbread who are offering
3 Images from their store

My Project this
week is:-
Marina Digi Stamp
(One of our sponsors)

To begin with I used a Pre-cut Scalloped Edged
Dotted Embossed 15cm Square Card
(stash)
I then Cut a 12cm Square of Cyan Card
(stash)
which I Embossed using an Embossing Filigree Texture Plate
(Fiskers)
I rounded the Corners of the Square off using 5mm Corner Punch
(X-Cut)

Next I
 printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Satin
Blush
Putty
Primrose
Soft Lime
Yellow
Canary
Sunflower
Amber
Bright Green
Marsh Green
Moss
Olive Green
Tea Green
Duck Egg
Turquoise
Marine
Cyan
Aegean
Lilac
Lavender
Orchid
Amethyst
Warm Grey 1
Warm Grey 2
Warm Grey 3
Black
Metallic Gold

Then I used a Fancy Square Embossing Folder
(Acid Drops and Whatnots - free from Papercrafting Essentials)
which I placed around the Image.
Then I die-cut it out using the large Ornate Square Frame
(X-Cut)

I then I heat Embossed Holographic Embossing Powder

(Papermania)
using Watermark Ink
(Versamark)
on to the Fishes, the Seahorse and the Mermaids Lips
(though it is a bit hard to see on the pictures)

For the Embellishments I used some Pearlised Purple Card,
Glitter Light Blue Card, Glitter Turquoise Card and
Metallic Gold Card
(all pieces from my Scrap Box)
and cut them out on my Brother Scan and Cut using
a Tattered Lace for Scan N Cut USB
(No. 2 A Little Bit of Everything)
I used the Kensington Boarder on the Purple Card,
and the Fish from the Fishing  Embellishment on the Glitter Cards
(rotating one to face the other way)
For the Sentiment I used the Gold Card
though I am not sure where the Cut File came from.

I handmade the Bow using 1cm Purple/Silver Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)

Finally I added 2mm Seed Pearls
(stash)
to the Bangle on the Mermaids Arm.
And then added the rest to the visible Embossed Dots
on the Base Card.

I'd like to enter this Card in the

  2. Talk about texture! Samantha, I look at your card and mentally close my eyes and run my fingers over all those 'feel goods'. You definitely nailed the dry embossing! What really jumps out at me is that wonderful bracelet you made with the seed pearls - lovely! Thank you so much for sharing your project and creativity at 613 Ave C!
