New Challenge #174 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hey Everyone,
It's the Chinese New Year tomorrow.
So I thought I would give you a quick little guide to it
(Courtesy of the Daily Telegraph )
(by Rozina Sabur and Cameron Macphail)

Chinese New Year 2016-
The Year of the Fire Monkey
The New Year, also known as the Spring Festival,
is marked by the Luni-solar Chinese Calendar,
so the date changes from year to year.

Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals
which appear in the Chinese zodiac.
The Chinese zodiac is divided into 12 blocks (or houses),
just like its Western Counterpart,
but with the major difference being that each house has a
time-length of one year instead of one month.

The Personality of the Monkey!
People born in the Year of the Monkey are characterised as
lively, quick-witted, curious, innovative and mischievous.
The general image of people in this Zodiac Sign is of
always being smart, clever and intelligent,
especially in their career and wealth.
In addition, their gentleness and honesty
brings them an everlasting love life.
Lucky Numbers: 1, 7, 8
Lucky Colours: White, Gold, Blue
 Lucky Flowers: Chrysanthemum, Alliums
Lucky Directions: North, North-west, West

Which Chinese Zodiac sign are you?
Your sign is derived from the year you were born
in the Chinese lunar calendar.
The years below are a rough guide,
but if you were born in January or February
it may be slightly different.
The Chinese Zodiac

What does your Chinese zodiac sign mean?

The Theme at
Fireworks/Sparkle

Our Sponsor this week is:-

Zuri Artsy Craftsy who are offering

3 Images.
(Unfortunatly Zuri has closed her shop due to personal reasons,
but you could win the Fiorella, Vivian and Roland

Digital Images. She also has a lot of freebies on her Blog page.)

My Project this
week is:-
Fiorella Digi Stamp

To begin with I used a Pre-cut 13.5cm Square Green Glitter Card Base
(stash)
On top of which I cut a 12.5cm Square of Circle Burst
Holographic Silver Card
(stash)

Using my Computer I resized the Firework Background
(Disney Fireworks - Night Time)
to make a 7.5cm Square.
And then placed the Image on top,
so it looked like she was sitting up in the Tree.

Next I printed it off
on White DC Paper
And coloured the Image
 in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Satin
Putty
Meadow Green
Leaf Green
Pear Green
Moss
Lilac
Lavender
Orchid
Amethyst
Burnt Seinna
Chestnut
Walnut
Cool Grey 2
I cut out around the Square of the Fireworks,
making sure to fussy cut around her Legs.

For my Sentiment and the Badge,

I knew that I wanted something related to the Chinese New Year.
So I found this lovely Monkey Badge SVG file.
(Wikimedia)

And I used the Cordoba Font to cut out
the 'Happy Chinese New Year'.
(both cut on the Brother Scan and Cut)

For my finishing touches I added some
Iridescent Mauve Pink Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the Wings of the Fairy.
To her Eyes and the Pearl Bracelet around her Arm
I added Glossy Accents.
(Ranger)
And finally to the right side of the card
(in the middle of the Circle bursts on the Holographic Card)
I added 4 5mm AB Clear Crystal Rhinestones.
(stash)

I'd like to enter this Card in the
