It's halfway time
over at Open-Minded Crafting again.
Well on Thursday I had to sacrifice
my weekly Card Class yet again.
This time so I could enrol on my new course.
Yes I am being sent to college so
I can train and return back to work.
It went really well but it was only 2 hours.
I'm dreading April when I officially start,
and I have to do a full 6 hour day
(GULP).
Just hope that it will all be worth putting myself
and my poor body through all this pain.
So anyways I had just finished making this weeks card
when my Mother-in-Law popped around
and she asked if I had been inspired by all the similar makes
that are going around at the moment.
I didnt even know that they were,
so any similarities I apologise for,
I just wanted to make a Scenic Card
with a bit of depth to it.

My Project for this
week is:-Little Castle Digi Stamp
from Doodle Pantry
(one of our sponsors)
and I used a Rectangle Parenthesis 2 Die
(X-Cut)
and made a 'Window in the Middle of the Card.
Next I chose a piece of A4 White Card
(stash)
and I cut it to size putting the folds in it.
(1, 2.5, 4, 25, 26.5, 28, 29cm)
I printed off a Sheet of A4 using the Little Castle Paper 2
(Light Grey Bricks - Doodle Pantry)
And then next I printed off the Image
twice on the Printed Paper.
And then again twice on White DC Paper.

I coloured the Images
using my Promarker Pens.
Yellow (Windows)
Pastel Green (Trees)
Pastel Blue (Outline Shading)
Cool Grey 1 (Door, Shading)
Cool Grey 5 (Door Handle + Hinges)
To build the depth of the Castle I decoupaged it up
I 1st used one of the Plain Prints as my Base Image,
cutting it to A5 size to fit just inside the back of the Card.
Next I fussy cut out all the
Turrets and Towers from 1 of the Printed Images
and just the Main Body of the Castle
from the other Printed Image.
From the last Plain Image I cut all the
Roofs, Balconies, Battlements,
and the Ground, Door, Bushes and Tree.
For my Sentiment I use a clear Rubber Stamp
(stash)
which I Heat Embossed
using Watermark Ink
(Versamark),
and Tinsel Silver Embossing Powder
(Papermania).
I then Die-Cut out a Snowflake
(LR0125 - Marianne Creatables)
from a scrap of the DC White paper.
For some Glitz and Glam,
I added Holographic White Glitter
to all of the Castle Surfaces that would get snow,
Roofs, Balconies and Battlements,
and to the Snowflake Die.
And I added Pure White Glitter to the Ground
to look like laying Snow.
(both from Glitter Magic).
For my final touch I added the Pearl Stars
(stash)
to the 'Sky'
and the center of the Snowflake.
