New Challenge #215 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi,

Well I have survived the Management Costing Exam.
It was rather interesting,
as while I was doing it I found a mistake in
the Exam paper!!!!!
Lets just say I came straight out and complained to my
Tutor that something wasn't right.
So now I have written to the Examining Board
and am awaiting the reply.

I do not want to get penalized for 
something that wasn't my mistake.
so lets wait and see what happens.

The Secret Digi Stamp

To begin with I used a White Pre-Cut Base Card

(stash)

I then sponged Ink on the Base Card,
to make a Marble Effect.
Using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

(Tim Holtz)

Coastal Cabana Ink
(Stampin' Up!)
Lavender Ink.
(Ancient Page)

Next I printed off the Image

on White DC Paper

And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.

I then Fussy cut the Image out.

I handmade the Backing Paper using
Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders
Aubergine Dream and Teal Wash

I then Die-Cut it out using a Square Parenthesis.

Over the top of this I used Pearl Diamond
Spray and Sparkle.

For My Sentiment I used the 'Thank You'
Clear Stamp

(All B Designs - Crafts Beautiful)

Which I stamped onto a scrap of White Paper
using Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento)

I then fussy cut it out around the outline

and added it onto the card using Foam Pads.

Finally I added a mix of 3mm and 1mm AB White Pearls
(stash)
 and Cream 3D Pearl Effects

(Dovecraft)

to the Pearls on the Image.

New Challenge #193 at Glitter N Sparkle

Phew,

Well this House Clearing is hard work.
I've sorted loads out but the only thing is
its now all piled up in the Spare Room,
which is now so full I can't even get into it.
some of the stuff is to good just be thrown away in a skip,
so now I need to sort it out into piles again.
Binning, Selling and Charity.

This week I thought I would try something different colour wise,
I have chosen to use Oranges, Peaches and Yellows, 
which I very rarely use.

To begin with I used Rectangle White Base Card

(stash)

Which I layered up with Rust Card.
(stash)

Next I printed off the Image

on White DC Paper

And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.

Once coloured I then cut the Image out and
rounded off the Corners using 10mm Corner Punch

Because the Image is in a kind of L-Shape
I thought I would use the Space on the Right for a Sentiment.
For that I used one from the'Wild Flower Set'

Stamped using Sienna Ink
(Antique Page)

I then cut a Rectangle of Saffron Yellow Paper

and using 'Garden Party' Edge Embossing Folder
(Jennifer Ellory - Cardmaking & Papercraft)
I embossed and then stained with the Sienna Ink
down the right edge of the Paper.

Next I handmade a Bow for the top right gap of the Image using 
1cm White/Gold Satin + Organza Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
which I topped with a 
10mm Orange Wave Circle Rhinestone
(stash)

Finally I added Crystal Glamour Dust

(Deco Art)

to the Diamond Drop Headdress, Earrings 
and the Loose Blossoms.
To her Lips I added some Glossy Accents.

New Challenge #124 at Glitter N Sparkle

So Sorry,
I had to take a week off last week
for personal reasons,
both Emotional and Health.

Glad to say that I'm feeling slightly better now,
than I have done in quite a few days.
Just need to catch up on my sleep and fingers crossed
I should feel back to normal,
(well normal for me lol).

So this week I decided to follow another Sketch,
so hope you like the end result.

The Image this week reminded me of when I was a girl
living in Fife, Scotland,
playing with my kitten Smokey.
As you can imagine he was a fluffy grey kitten with
a pink nose.
And he really did love chasing the Marbles,
especially downstairs while someone was walking up them.

Windows To The Soul (Innocent) Digi Stamp

To begin with I used an A4 Sheet of Cream Card

(stash)
which I folded in Half and cut to make 
a 20 x 13cm Base Card.
Next I decided all the Papers and Card 
I was going to use would be from my Scrap Pile
(and trust me like any crafter knows this is huge lol).
So I cut a 13 x 10cm piece of
Wood Grain Embossed Card
(stash),
then a 12.5 x 10.5cm piece of 
Embossed Bark Effect Bronze Paper
(stash)
and finally a 11 x 8cm piece of 
Glitter Polka Dot Paper
(Safari Kids - Matstack with Glitter)

Then I printed my Image
  on White DC Paper

and coloured it in

using my Promarker Pens

Because I wanted to  try and attempt a Vintage look,
I distressed all the Cut Rectangles with
Sandpaper.
Then over the top I used Distress Inks,
for the Cream Base Card and the Image I used
Antique Linen Ink.
For the Wood Effect Card I used 
Walnut Stain.
And on the Bronze and Polka Dot Paper I used 
Vintage Photo.

(All Distress Inks - Tim Holtz).

I used a 2cm Cream Lace to wrap around the 
Wood Card at the Back,
and for the Front a 1cm Brown Satin Ribbon,
(both from Boyes Haberdashery)
and to make the Bow I folded the little scrap of ribbon left 
and joined it in the Middle with a 
Bronzed Brad with Brown Gem
(stash)

To finish off I used Holographic Copper Glitter
on the Collar of the Girls Dress,
and Penny Copper Glitter
on both the Cat and the Girl's Bows
(both from Glitter Magic).

For the Marbles I used a selection of
4mm, 3mm, 2mm Crystal Flat-backed Rhinestones
(stash)
and 1 Crystal Dew Drop at the Front
(stash).

White Panel Screen Card

Using a Metallic Bronze Bark Effect Paper,
I covered the 2 Side Panels 
and the Bottom 1/4 of the Middle Panel

Then I printed off the Image

on White DC Paper

and coloured it in

using my Promarker Pens

around the join of the Image 
the Bronze Paper.

For My Sentiment
I used 'Remember This Day'
Clear Stamp
(Holiday Cheer - Stampin'Up!),
with Baked Brown Sugar Ink
(Stampin' Up!).
Which I then Die-Cut out using
Ornament Frame #5 
(Go Kreate).

To finish off my Card,

I added Autumn Maple Leaves

(Craft)

to the Side Panels. 

And 7mm Bronze Dotted Rhinestones

(stash)

to each side of the Sentiment Panel.

Anyway here was my project for that Week:-

Marriage/Love

Ghost Bride Digi Stamp 

from Aurora Wings

To began with I used an A4 sheet of
Silver Pearl White Card,
(stash),
which I folded to make a Gate Fold Card and trimmed
to make a 14cm Square Card

I printed off the Image on White DC Paper,

and coloured it in 

using my Promarker Pens.

  Face/Skin -  Vanilla
Satin
Blush
 Pastel Blue (Eyes)
Maroon (Lips)
Lilac (Eyeshadow)
  Rotted Face - Pastel Pink
Dusky Pink
Dusky Rose
Poppy
Pastel Beige
Ivory
Hair - Sandstone
Caramel
Veil -  Ivory
Lilac  
                 Jewellery -  Yellow

Flowers -  Meadow Green
Mustard
Lavender
Lilac
Amethyst

I then Punched the corners of the Image 
with 3-1 Lace Corner Punch
(Fiskars).

I cut around a spare copy of the Image keeping 
just the Head, Flowers, Hand and Dress.
Placing this over my coloured Image I then 
sprayed it with Pearl Diamond Spray and Sparkle
(Crafters Companion)
to make the Veil Shimmer.

On a 12cm Square of Pearlised Purple Card
(Ross Papers)
I wrapped a strip of White Lace on the Left Side
and a strip of Black Lace on the Right Side
(both from Boyes Haberdashery)
I then placed my Image on top at an angle.

To show the contrasting sides I made 
2 'Wedding Bouquets'.
 For the Light Side I used
3 Cream, 2 Purple and 3 Lavender
Paper Roses
which I twisted together,
and handmade a Bow from 
10mm Purple Satin Ribbon.
For the Dark Side I used
1 Lavender Paper Rose,
3 Black Paper Rosebuds
and 2 Black Paper Carnations
which I again twisted together,
and handmade a Bow from
10mm Black Satin Ribbon
(all Paper Flowers from Stash,
all Ribbon from Boyes Haberdashery)

For my Finishing Touches,
I added Glossy Accents to her Lips
(Ranger)
and Night Sparkle 'Glitz It' Sparkle 
to her Eye Socket and Jaw
(DoCrafts, Papermania)

To  put my card together, 
I placed the Purple Square on the 
Left Gate Fold, 
and also cut another Square to match
which I place on the inside of the Left Gate.
