Honest he's  bigger kid than the Kids lol

I would also like to wish all my friends
who live in the States a

but better late than never)
Hope you all had a fantastic day.

Challenge #152 at Glitter N Sparkle

Oh Wow ,
Life really does get in the way sometimes.

I finally get myself all sorted
and then I get rushed in to Hospital
Spent a few days writhing around in agony,
til  the antibiotics and pain medications started to work.
I am now out and on pause lol,
I am awaiting a surgery date,
so limited to my diet, and activities.

So I have a couple of cards for you today,
I hope you like them.
And coming up will be a rather special post,
so keep your eyes open for it.

I used some Dark Orange DMC Thread.
I also added a Needle.

Challenge #147 at Glitter N Sparkle

Here is my next card,
Well when I saw this Image and the theme for this week,
all I got in my head was this certain song going round and round.

Fields of Gold - Sting

I think it is so apt,
so I based my card around it.
Hope you like it.

The Theme at
Something Beginning With B
Blue, Brown, Barley, Birds, Burlap

My Project this
week was:-
Love's Garden Digi Stamp
from Stitchy Stamps at
Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet

Then I cut out a square of Mid Blue Card

Next I found this gorgeous Picture
of a Barley Field on the Internet
(Fields of Gold - Richard Hurst)

Next I printed the Image out
4 Times
1 on Blue Striped Paper,
1 on Brown Flower Strip Paper,
(both from my Scrap Box)
and 2 on White DC Paper.
On the White Paper
I coloured it in
using my Promarker Pens
                                                           Putty                  - Skin
                                                           Antique Pink     - Lips/Rose/Seed Packet

Challenge #139 at Glitter N Sparkle

Here is the 4th of my Glitter n Sparkle Blogs that I have missed.
With the perfect Quote from C.S Lewis
(who wrote 'Alice in Wonderland' and other books)
which suits me down to a 'Tea'.

I find it so hard to put a book down once I've started it.
And I always disappear off into the world of which I am reading,
laughing and crying out loud
(usually to the annoyance of anyone who is around me)
living the lives of the characters with them.

The Theme at
Include An Animal

My Project this week was:-
Book And Tea Digi Stamp
from Digi Blessings
at Stitchy Bear Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

To start with I drew myself a Book of Tricks Template to work from.
Then using an A4 sheet of Deep Blue Leather Effect Card
(stash)
I cut out the Largest Size.
For the Middle Page I used a Sheet of A4 White Card
(stash)
and for the smallest Page
I 1st printed off an 2 page spread of a book
(which has been blurred so you can't read the print)
then cut it out with the template.

Next I printed the Image and
the accompanying Quote
  on White DC Paper
and coloured the Image in
using my Promarker Pens

                                                            Ivory - Book Pages
                                                            Dusky Pink - Mouse Ears
                                                            Mustard - Teabag Paper
                                                            Poppy - Cherries
                                                            Pastel Blue - Cup

I then Die-Cut both the Image and the Quote out
using 2 sizes of Ornate Frame Squares
(X-Cut).
Once cut I the went around the edges of both with my
Denim Blue Promarker Pen.
On The Quote I used Dark Smokey Blue Decorative Pastel Chalk
(Dovecraft)
to highlight the edges.

Down the center of the Book Of Tricks

(stash)

Midway Post, Challenge #34 at Open-Minded Crafting

It's Saturday,
which means its the Halfway Post over at Open-Minded Crafting.

This has been a very hard week for me.
Unfortunately one of my beloved Furbabies died,
my little Smudge.
Even though he was the biggest of my cats he wasn't even 6 years old.
We dont even know why he died as he was healthy and had never had
any problems nor been ill at all.
I realise it was just his time to go, but it still hurts so much.
My other cat Tiger is constantly crying for his 'Brother',
but we have been having lots of hugs and cuddles.
