New Challenge #84 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hello again,
and yet again it is Sunday.
Well it is been an interesting week again.
My Papa has gone to join my Mum over in Canada
for the next few months
(probably till British Summer Time kicks in and its warm enough to come back lol).
Also yet again I've got my Partners Niece
stopping the weekend,
and she is being very vocal about
not wanting to watch my other joy of life,
the F1 Grand Prix,
but tough for her hehe .

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Female Card

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Fitztown who are offering
3 Images from their store

Sassy Studios who are offering
4 Images from their store

Inky Impressions who are offering
an $10 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Cupid Digi Stamp
from Sassy Studios
(one of our sponsors)

I began with an A4 sheet of
Pink Card
(stash)
and cut it to make a 14cm Square Card.
On the edge I used the 'Hearts' Boarder Punch
(X-Cut).
Hint:- Punch out the Boarder first before cutting and folding to size.

Next I printed off the image for this project,

on White DC Paper.
Using the Majestic Squares Die-Cut, (6pc)
(Spellbinders)
the 1st and 2nd on the Image
and the 5th on its own.

I coloured in my Image
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Satin
                                     Dusky Pink (Cheeks)
                                     Burgundy (Lips)
               Hair -              Caramel
                                     Sandstone
                                     Mustard
                                     Buttercup
               Crown -          Gold
                                     Blossom
               Dress -           Blossom
                                     Dusky Rose
               Tights -          Blossom
                                     Pastel Beige
               Bow -             Gold
               Wings -          Blossom
                                     Dusky Rose
I used the Blender Pen to meld and fade
the colours together on the
dress and the wings.

To give the Die Cut and the Card

a bit of colour and distressed look,
I blended the Blossom and Dusky Rose
around the edges using
the Pens and a blending Sponge.

Next to give the Image a bit of a sparkle,

I sprayed it all over with
Iridescent Glitter, Spray and Sparkle
(Crafters Companion).
Then I added Honey Yellow Sparkling Glitter,
(Craft Planet)
to the Bow and Arrow.
Pink Sparkling Glitter
(stash)
was put around the edges of the Wings
and the Ruffle on the front of the Dress.
And White Holographic Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
for the Inside of the Wings and the Crown.
(Yellow, Pink and White are all Loose Glitters)

Then I used a Spare Strip of the Pink Card

and I wrapped a 4.5cm Pink Lace
(stash)
around it with a 1.5cm
White Satin Glitter Edge Ribbon
(stash)
on top.
I placed the Strip on the Left side of the Card
and then added a Pale Baby Pink Feather
and a Blossom Pink Feather
(stash)
to the right of the Ribbon on the Lace.
And another Blossom Pink Feather
on the Top Right Corner.

I off set placed the Image on the Base card.

Then I added
a White Satin, Feather and Pearl Flower
(stash)
on the right corner with the feather.
Added a collection of
Pink and White Paper Roses
(stash)
on the Top and on the Bottom Right of the Image.
To add a bit of Glitz to the White Roses
I added some Star Dust Stickles
(Ranger)
mixed with a hint of the Pink Glitter.

To finish off my card
I Handmade a Lace Circle
by using a Strip of 3cm White Lace
(stash)
with some Thread stitched through the Bottom
then pulled tight and tied off.
On top of that I placed the smaller Die-Cut
which was distressed and blended the same.
Then using a 'Heart' Ornate Scrollwork Stamp
(Clear Choice, Royal Langnickle)
stamped on using Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento).
And finally I placed a Row of Flat-backed White Pearls
(stash)
along the Bottom of the Card.

I'd like to enter this Card in the following Challenges:-

New Challenge #80 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hi everyone,
Yes it Sunday again and it
doesn't seem like 2 mins ago when I was last on here.
It has been a very busy Week,
I was asked if I would make a Memory Book
for a friend who is going to Australia for a year,
(lucky them)
so been rushing around trying to get it finished.

Anyway here is my project this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Anything But A Square

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Fresh Brewed Designs who are offering
3 Images from their store

Scribbles Designs who are offering
3 Images from their store

Sassy Studios who are offering
4 Images from their store

My project for this week is:-

SteamPunk Vivian Digi Stamp
from Sassy Studios
(one of our sponsors)

I saw this Card being made on 'Create n Craft'
the other day and I thought I would like to attempt it
as it would look rather good as a Steampunk card.

To begin with I Cut 2 x 7cm Round Circles
off an A4 Brown Card
(stash).
One I folded and scored in half.
On the other I drew a line across the middle
then using my Circle Cutter Compass
I set the cutter at 6.7cm, 6.5cm, 6.2cm, and 6cm,
 cutting only half the paper.
Glueing the scored Circle at the back of the other
so that it makes it stand up
and folding in the 2nd and the 4th cut-out half rings
and glueing them to the back.

Then I cut a 5.5cm circle out of
'Blue Circles' Backing Paper
(stash).

Next I Die-Cut out an Oval

using the largest Large Classic Ovals (5pc)
(Spellbinders)
from Bronze Diamond Embossed Paper
(stash).
I also Die-Cut out the Ribbon Flora Flourish (LR0108)
(Marianne Creatables)
using Metallic Bronze and Brown Cards

(stash).

I coloured in my Image
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Dusky Pink
                                     Satin
               Hair -              Shale
                                     Burnt Sienna
                                     Cocoa
                                     Cinnamon
                                     Sandstone
               Lips -              Burgundy
               Gun -             Shale
                                     Cool Grey 5
                                     Black
               Tights -          Satin
                                     Cool Grey 1
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Boots -           Burgandy
                                     Cool Grey 4
                                     Cool Grey 5
                                     Black
               Tails -             Cool Grey 4
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Gloves -         Cornflower
               Suspenders - Cornflower
               Ruffles -         Cornflower
               Pants -           China Blue
               Hat -               Burgundy
               Dress -           Burgundy

I also used Metallic Gel Pens,

               Gold -            Hat
                                     Shirt
                                     Bodice
                                     Inside Skirt
               Bronze -         Shirt (Fold Shading)
Outside Skirt (On Top of Burgundy)
                                     Boots (On Top of Burgundy)

I then Fussy Cut my Image out.

I put 2 strips of 2cm Black Lace
(Boyes Haberdashery)
around the bottom half of the backing paper.

On the remaining cut-out Rings at the top of the card,
I heat Embossed the 1st one using
Copper Embossing Powder
(PaperMania)
and on the 2nd one I glittered it using
Antique Gold Glitter
(CraftTime).

To finish off my card
I used some Laser Board Cogs from the
Steampunk Wings and Cogs Set
(Tando Creative)
which I painted using Metallic Copper
and Metallic Bronze Acrylic Paint
(DoCrafts)

And finally I placed Flat-Back Bronze Gems,
along a diagonal line on Bronze Oval,
and on the Buttons of the Image
I put a few dots of Bronze Glitter
(CraftTime).

I then noticed that the cut-out rings
were rather floppy and wouldn't stay up properly.
So I decided to fix this,
just by simply using a scrap piece of Acetate
that I had in my Junk Paper Box.
I cut it to a 7cm Semi Circle and
attached it to the back of the card
so the rings could fix onto it.

I'd like to enter this Card in the following Challenges:-

Digi Choosday - #14 - Ovals
Haunted Design House - #186 - Steampunk Junk
Just Inspirational - Embossing
Left Of Center - #29 - Anything Goes/Dark Themed
Punk You Girl - #11 - Lavish Lace

New Challenge #76 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hi everyone,
Well I think my arm is about to fall off this week,
My friend has kindly lent me her collection
of Dies (because mine is soooo pitiful lol),
and all I seem to be doing is Cutting
and Cutting and Cutting and ......
(you get the idea)
But hopefully I will have plenty of choice
to make some nice cards
till I can build up my own Die Collection.

Anyway here is my project this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Use Some Green/St Patrick's

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Fiztown who are offering
3 Images from their store

Sassy Studio Designs who are offering
7 Images from their store

Eureka Stamps who are offering
5 Images from their store

A Day for Daisies who are offering
a $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Candy Cane Digi Stamp
from Sassy Studios
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I made my base Card from
 17cm x 25cm Dark Green Card
(stash),
which I cut and folded into a
Twin Easel Card
(Arts & Crafts Direct).

Next using A2 Locking Loop (5pc)

(Spellbinders)
I Die-Cut out the the 2 Rectangles
and the Sentiment Strip,
(on Pear Green Paper (stash))
Using Wee Bit O'Luck Sentiment Digi Stamp
from Eureka Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

Using some Medium Green Card
(stash)
I Die-Cut out the larger of the
Locking Loop Single Dies.

Next I cut out the Card for the Images
to stand up on the Easel.
Using Medium Green Card
I cut a rectangle 10.5 x 13.5 cm.
And from White Stock Card
(stash)
a rectangle 6.5 x 10 cm.

Then I cut out the Base Sections
so the Card can stand up.
From the White Card I cut a rectangle
17 x 3 cm,
from which I cut a 6.5 x 1.5 cm section
out of the Bottom Right Corner.
Then out of the Medium Green Card
I cut a 6.5 x 1 cm rectangle
which I placed in the cut-out section
of the White Card,
this makes the gap for the smaller
section to stand up in.

I coloured in my Image
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Blush
                                     Dusky Pink
                                     Satin
               Hair -              Spice
                                     Honeycomb
               Eyes -            Cinnamon
               Lips -             Burgundy
               Bells -            Yellow
               Cane -           Pear Green
               Arms/Legs -   Lime Zest
                                     Meadow Green
               Hat/Dress -     Pine
                                     Grass
                                     Meadow Green
                                     Apple
               Boots -           Pine
                                     Grass
                                     Apple
                                     Cool Grey 5

I used some Green/White Checked Ribbon
(Stash)
and placed 2 Strips across the card
and Handmade a Bow using the same ribbon.

And for the finishing touches I used
the cut-out remains from the Medium Green Die
and put them together to make a Clover.
Using 5 Dark Green Flat-Back Mini Gems
(one in the Clover, 4 on the Sentiment Strip)
5 Light Green Flat-Back Mini Gems
(down the centre of the Medium Green Die)
and finally a Silver and Green Gem
for the middle of the Bow.
