New Challenge #187 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello All,

Well I'm glad to say the sun has been out occasionally
recently so I managed to get the front garden sorted.
Well OK, I kind of stood around and informed the 
other half he had to do all the weeding and hard stuff.
I did pick the litter up if that counts hehe.

Well next week will probably be a rather hectic one,
as my Partners Sister is getting Married 
and I'm a Bridesmaid.
no doubt I will fill you in after the event next week.

My Project this

To begin with I used part of a Template from a Box,
'I Support You'

(My Time Made Easy - Lauren Meader)

Of which I just used the Lid Top and the Decorate Inlay Templates.
(But I used a Heart for the Insert cutout rather than the Oval).

Firstly I cut out 2 of the Lid Tops.
1 in White Card and 1 in Pale Pink Card

(both from stash)

I then affixed them together at the Top of the Card 
and made 2x 6.5cm Long Rectangles 
(folded in Half) from the spare White Card
and attached them at the Bottom so the Card could stand up.

Secondly I printed off a copy of the Backing Paper 
which came with the 'I Support You' Pack.
and I used it to cut out the Decorative Inlay Template.
I then went around all the edges with Iridescent Pastel Pink Glitter.
(Glitter Magic)

Next I printed off the Image

on White DC Paper

And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.

For the Sentiment I used one of the Verses 
which came with the 'I Support You' Pack,
(It is actually the same words that are on the Backing Paper but in a Verse.)
I Cut it out using a Scalloped Oval Die
(X-Cut - XCU503406)
and I went around the edge using my Pale Pink Promarker.
Then I attached it to the Back of the Base Card.

For Decoration I first added a Strip of
22mm Pale Pink with Hearts Satin Ribbon.
On top of that I placed a Handmade Bow,
made from 15mm Cerise Pink Satin Ribbon.

To finish it off I added a medium sized
Pale Pink Paper Rose.

Finally I added 6mm AB Pale Pink Pearls

3 to each of the Card Ribbon Ends.

Another Day, Another Week,

I had a lovely week up until Thursday.
Started the new Module for my course, which of course
I totally loved.
Then unfortunately Wednesday Night/Thursday Morning
I had a flare up of my Gallbladder,
which kinda put me out of action for 2 days.
but thankfully I am feeling much better now.
Just got to ring the Hospital Monday Morning and see if
I can find out what is happening for my Surgery date.

But anyway on with the crafting,
due to not feeling to good this week was
just a quickie card,
but I do like how it turned out.

To begin with I used an A4 Sheet of Cream White Card

(stash)

which I folded in half and cut to make a 16cm x 13.5cm Base Card
I then Matte and Layered it up using
Pre-embossed Black Card
and Rust Card
(both from stash)
I rounded off the Corners using a  10mm Corner Punch,
on the Cream and the Black Card
and a 5mm Corner Punch on the Rust Card.
(both X-Cut)

Next I printed off the Image

  on White DC Paper

And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens

Pumpkin

Ginger

Orange

I added some Holographic Copper Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the edge of Her Wings and to the Hearts,
1 on her Dress and the one hanging under the Skull.
I also added some Glossy Accents
(Ranger)
to her Eyes.

I Die-cut out the Jelly Picture Frame
(Sizzix)

from Black Paper
(stash)Then cut the Image out so that it would fit inside the Frame.

Finally I added 5mm Light Orange Dotted Rhinestones

(stash)

to each of the corners of the Frame.

New Challenge #151 at Glitter N Sparkle - Card 2

Back to the correct week,
As I am now up to date,
I thought I would let you all know that
I am now officially a Student.

I got myself enrolled in College now
and I am looking forward to starting my new course
on the 7th September.
This one is a full year course
in Accountancy, then fingers crossed
this time next year I will be looking
to go back to Work for the 1st time in a very long time.

Its take a lot of blood, sweat and tears to be able to
get to this position.
And there are a lot of people
who have helped along the way,
with both emotional and financial support
and I couldn't have done it with out them.

To begin with I used an A4 Piece of Mustard Yellow Card
(stash)

which I folded in half and cut to make a Square Card.

Next I printed the Image out

  twice on White DC Paper
and once on Beige Bunting Paper
(Not sure where it came from).
Can you notice my mistake - I didn't till the very end!

And coloured both the White Images

in using my Promarker Pens

From the other Image I fussy cut out the Girl,

then placed them on the printed Image on the Bunting Paper.

Which I then Cut to fit on the Base Card.

On a scrap of the White Paper

I Die-Cut out a Scalloped Pennants

(X-Cut)

which I then Coloured in with Tan Promarker Pen.

On top I stamped 'Birthday Girl

(All B Designs - free from Crafts-Beautiful)

using Tuxedo Black Ink

(Momento)

I then Handmade a 'Bow Flower' using 

5mm Oatmeal Satin Ribbon

(Boyes Haberdashery),

which I topped with a Holographic Gold Sequin

(stash).

Around the edge of the Paper I added a

Square Gold Glitter Frame Peel-Off

(Paper Cellar).
