But at least we get to have a nice relaxing time
away from home.

New Challenge #192 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello back again,
Think I have managed to de-stress now.
All I have lined up to do now is clear the house out,
(and I have trouble throwing things away).
But I need to have a ruthless clear out
ready for the start of the Summer Holidays
as my Step-Daughter is coming for the duration.
It is going to be so much fun,
and her Dad and I have got a few things planned
to keep her occupied.

Anyway this week is all about those Special Men in your life.
It doesn't always have to be your Father,
it could be your Step-Dad, or a Grandfather,
or even that Special Person who has given
you guidance as you grow up.

This one is for my Father.
(and for once I know he will get it in time).

Father's Day

from Ike's Art
(One of our sponsors)

To begin with I used a Rectangle White Base Card.
(stash)
Then cut a Smaller Rectangle of Mid Brown Paper
(stash)
which I then Embossed using the
'Brick Wall' Folder
(Stampin' Up)
I then scuffed it up to give the 'Wall' some distinction,
using Antique Linen Distress Ink,
Vintage Photo Distress Ink,
Walnut Stain Distress Ink
and Black Soot Distress Ink.
(Tim Holtz)

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.

Dusky Rose
Sandstone
Caramel

Burnt Sienna
Shale
Olive Green
Cyan
Ice Grey 4
Ice Grey 5
Cool Grey 5
Black

I then put it through my Brother Scan & Cut
so that I could cut it out with the White Outline.
I then distressed around the Image
 using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Also using the Scan and Cut
I cut out the 'Happy Father's Day'
out of Dark Brown Card.
(stash)

For the Quote, I found it on the Internet
(not to sure where)
which I printed off then distressed and curled
the Corners with a pair of scissors.
I also added some extra Vintage Photo Distress Ink
and Walnut Stain Distress Ink
to the Curled Corners.

Finally I added a Silver/Dark Brown
Pocket Watch Embellishment
(Craft)
to the top right corner.

New Challenge #186 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi,
Well its been a good week,
if not a bit wet and cold outside.
Really hope that the weather picks up soon,
as its getting to dreary to do anything exciting.

I would really like to thank Sue from Ike's Art this week,
for stepping in as a Sponsor for us on such short notice.
It is really appreciated Sue by me and all the Girls.

This week I am using 2 of the Images from a Set
which I won a few weeks ago.
So glad that I could use them for this Challenge.
I know a certain Male who will enjoy this Birthday Card.

Challenge #184 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi and welcome back.
I have finally got my Blog back after a long 2 months,
It was taken out of my hands (I think I was hacked)
along with all of my emails.
Luckily I noticed straight away and managed to get them blocked
until it had all been sorted out.

So now it is time to catch up on all of my Crafty Makes
that I have been unable to do .

Hope you enjoy looking at them all...

Our Sponsors that week were:-

My Project that
week was:-
Parthanon Horse Digi Stamp
Ike's Art

To begin with I used a Pre-Cut 18cm Square Card,
(stash)
I then used an A4 sheet of Deep Red Card
(stash)
From which I cut a 17.5cm Square, a 9 x 11cm Rectangle
and two 4 x 17.5 Rectangles.
From an A4 Sheet of  White Card
(stash)
I cut a 17cm Square and a 8.5 x 10.5cm Rectangle.
(stash)

Nest I printed off the Image twice,

one on Light Red Marble Paper
and one on Dark Red Marble Paper,
(both from Greeting Card Factory Backgrounds)
and Highlighted it using
my Promarker Pens
Warm Grey 1
Warm Grey 2
Once Printed I fussy cut both Images out
using the Dark Red Marble for the Eye, Mane and Stand,
and the Light Red for the Main Body of the Head,
and placed it in the White Rectangle

Using the rest of the Dark Red Marble Paper I cut
two 3.7 x 17.2cm Rectangles,
and from the spare Light Red Marble Paper I cut
two 3.4 x 16.8cm Rectangles.

Once I had put all the Layers together,
I used the 'Happy Birthday' Clear Stamp
(Renaissance Love Life - Stamps U Love - Craftstyle)
with Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento)
in the Middle of the Bottom Marbled Strip.

I decided the Vertical Strip looked to plain,
so I cut some 7mm wide Strips
from the Dark Red Marble Paper,
which I added on a diagonal down in Stripes.
Finally I added six 6mm AB Red Pearls
(stash)
down the Side of the Card.

I'd like to enter this Card in the

New Challenge #172 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hey Everyone,

Yay the snow went and I made it to College
with out any incidents,
though I think the Computers there
are all ganging up on me
as they seem to quit working on me.
And it is always when I'm halfway
through inputting my work.
I end up with a New Business Sage program
that seems to take over a year to get going
(I need to remember when the computer goes off,
change my dates when I restart!!!!!)

Good news as well the Car is now back from the
Car Doctor with a clean bill of health
(and a few new parts).

Anyways this weeks Card was inspired by
one of my favorite Artists of all time
MEATLOAF
and a Song from one of the very 1st Albums I ever bought.
WOLF AT YOUR DOOR

The Theme at
Say It With Music

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Bugaboo who are offering
7 Images from their store

Ike's Art who are offering
a $15 Gift Certificate for their store

Sami Stamps who are offering
a $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My Project this
week is:-
Wolf 3 Digi Stamp
from Ike's Art
(One of our sponsors)
To begin with I used a A4 Sheet of Pearlised Grey Card
(stash)
on which I cut out with my Brother Scan and Cut,
a House Folded Card
(Free SVG File - Birds Cards)
Because it didnt pop as much as I wanted it to
I cut another Front out using Black Card
(stash)
but I made it 2mm bigger than the Grey one.

Behind the Cutout Card Image I used a sheet of Rainbow Parchment
(Blue/Yellow/Grey)
(Gifted to me)
which I thought Lined up perfectly with cutouts of the Image.

For the Door I used the piece that was cut out
and trimmed it down so you can see the 'Light' around it.
And for the Door Handle I used a 2mm Metallic Blue Brad.
(stash)
I raised it up from the main cutout Image with Decoupage Foam Pads.

To accentuate the 'Smoke' rising from the House Chimney
I used my White Pen
(Graph' It - Shake Pen)

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Canary
Tan
Dusky Pink
Ice Grey 1
Ice Grey 2
Ice Grey 3
Ice Grey 4
Ice Grey 5
I then fussy cut the Image out.

For my Sentiment I wrote it out on my Computer
and printed it off.
It is a Quote from the Song
"There's a Wolf at your door,
He says he's playin' for keeps"
(Meatloaf - Wolf At Your Door - Midnight At The Lost And Found)
I then cut it out and rounded the corners off
using a 5mm Corner Punch
(X-Cut)

As a little touch I used a little piece of
Smokey Grey 2cm Satin Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
which I placed just under the Sentiment.

Finally as a finishing touch I cut out a Circle

out of a scrap of the White Paper
which I dotted with Light Grey and Dark Grey Chalk
(Decorative Pastel Chalks - Dovecraft)
and added it as a Moon in the top Right of the Card.

I'd like to enter this Card in the

To begin with I used an A4 Sheet of Red Card
(stash)
which I folded in half to make a Rectangle Base Card.
And layered it up with a piece of Dark Green Stripe Embossed Paper
(stash)

This bundle has a collection of Images on it,
so I choose to use the Background, Circle Stamp,
the Mountie, and I used the Flag twice

  on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens

Cool Grey 1
Cool Grey 3

Then I fussy cut the Mountie and both the Flags out.

To give the Flags a bit of 3D
I used my embossing pencil to
highlight the creases and made it 'Wave'

On the Background I gave it a light
waterwash of colour
using my new Bruynzeel Aquarel Pencils
Light Ultramarine - 77
Ice Green - 68
Olive Green - 63
Dark Green - 61
Light Grey - 73
Dark Grey - 74

Then I went around the Edge with the

For the Stamp Die-Cut it out with a Circle Die
(Sizzix)
and again went around the edge
with the Berry Red Pen.

And finally I Die-cut out the Letters
