New Challenge #79 at Glitter and Sparkle

Hello again,
Well its been another interesting week
here at the old Homestead.
My folks have flown over to Denmark
to see their Grandson for the 1st time.
and Auntie here is well jealous lol.
Also we've had my partners Daughters
for the weekend, so its been a girlie time
of crafting and baking.

So this week I got a very nice Image to work with
and I have a Family Wedding coming up soon,
for which this card is perfect.
I hope you all like it.

Anyway here is my project this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Pearls and Lace

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Digi Stamps Joy who are offering
5 Images from their store

Bugaboo who are offering
7 Images from their store

Stitchy Bear Samps who are offering
a $10 Gift Certificate for Images from
Stitchy, Barbara Jenson, Pookie Bear
and Panda Bear

Di's Digi Downloads who are offering
a $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Mr + Mrs Digi Stamp
from Stitchy at Stitchy Bear Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I Cut and scored 2 pieces of
A4 Cream Pearl Card
(Ross Papers).
 One at  14.5cm x 29cm
(folded in half to make 2 squares)
and the other at 16cm x 29.cm
which I scored at
7.4cm in from each edge,
to make the folding doors.
Then cut off a 1cm section over both the doors
so I was left with a tab on the middle section.
Then attached both pieces of card together,
tab to the end of the folded squares.

Then I cut 3 squares of my backing paper

which I made using the
'Roses' Black and White Backing Paper
(My Craft Studio - Carousel of Classics, CD 4 1960-79)
which I edited on my Greeting Card Factory program,
flipping the Image so that it would make a square.
Cutting one of the so it would go on the 'Doors'.

Next I Die-Cut out my Image

using the Gold Labels 28 (S5-209)
(Spellbinders)
And from Champagne Pearl Card
(Ross Papers)
I Die-Cut out a piece to back the Image.

On plain white découpage paper I Stamped

the 'Rose and Banner'
(Apothecary Art - Stampin' Up!)
and the 'Wedding' Stamp
(All B Designs - free for Crafts Beautiful).
Both in Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento)
Then I stamped the 'Congratulations' Sentiment,
(PMA 907439 - Papermania)
which I placed in the 'Banner,
using Gold Pigment Ink
(Dovecraft)
which I then filled in with a Gold Metallic Gel Pen.

Using the Labels Collection (125598)

(Stampin' Up!)
I cut out the 2nd Largest and the
2nd Smallest from the
Champagne Pearl Card.
And my stamped Images I Die-Cut out using
the next sizes down so they would fit on.

I printed off another 2 copies of my Image
so I could add some texture to the Dress by
Embossing it using the
corner of A6 Swirls (XCU 515125)
(X-Cut).
And Decoupaging up the Veil.

I coloured in my Image

using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Satin
               Hair -              Shale
                                     Cocoa
               Dress -           Ivory
               Veil -              Ivory
               Bouquet -       Buttercup
                                     Blossom
                                     Lavender
                                     Apple
Top Hat -        Cool Grey 4
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Tails -             Cool Grey 4
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Trousers -      Cool Grey 4

I also coloured in all the Roses in Ivory,

those on the Stamp and
those on the Backing Papers.

I put a strip of 1" Cream Lace
(Boyes Haberdashery).
across the middle of the inside card,
under the 'Congratulations'.
And another strip down each side of the 'Doors'.

To finish off my card

I used small Flat-Back Cream Pearls,
on the 'Wedding' sentiment
and the 'Mr & Mrs' Frame.
and medium Flat-Back Cream Pearls
to the 'Congratulations' sentiment.
And for my Flower Posy I placed
1 Cream Paper Rose
(Craft Shop)
2 Gold Leaves
(Flowers)
3 small White Paper Roses
(stash)
I edged the Roses with
3D Holographic Glitter Glue
(Glitz-It)
just to give them a bit of sparkle.

And for my final touch

I used the Gold Wire
(which came off the Leaves)
and twisted them to make rings.
Adding a small Flat-back Crystal Gem
to the Ladies Ring,
and the join for the other behind the lace
to make the Gents Ring.
