New Challenge #83 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hi Everyone,
Yes its that time of week again,
and its been a hectic week.
We now have the newest addition arrived,
and we still have my Partners teenage nieces here,
plus for the weekend his youngest Daughter.

Question: has anyone learnt the trick of getting
teenagers to clean up after themselves???

Anyway here is my project for this Week:-

The Theme at
Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Tag It

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Lacy Sunshine who are offering
3 Images from their store

Meljens who are offering
4 Images from their store

Bugaboo who are offering
7 Images from their store

Stitchy Bear Stamps who are offering
an $10 Gift Certificate for their store
from Stitchy, Craftygirl, Alipeeps Art

Di's Digi Downloads who are offering
an $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My project for this week is:-

Dark Angel Digi Stamp
from Stitchy at Stitchy Bear Stamps
(one of our sponsors)

This week I decided to make a Jewellery Box and
matching Birthday Card for a friend.
Because the Present I had got her
was some nice Wing Earrings,
and I thought the Image suited.

To make the box I followed a Template for

'That's a Wrap!'
(My Time Made Easy - Pretty Packaging
Designed by Lauren Meader)
But I altered the base so that it became a 10cm Square.

I began with using an A4 sheet of
Purple Pearlised Card
(Ross Papers)
Cut out the altered template, Top and Bottom,
and using my Ultimate Crafters Companion
to do my scoring.
for the flaps I wanted them to look nice
so I used my Ivy Blossom Corner Punch
(Emboss plus Punch - Fiskars)
And so that I can lift the Lid up I used a
'Sweetie' Punch
(Card Craft Punches)
half on the card,
to make a fancy hole.
And for the Inside just a Sheet of A4
Pearlised Black Card
(Ross Papers)
cut to a 10cm square with 1cm
folded down flaps
to make it stand inside the Box.
then I punched through 2 holes,
for the Earrings to go through.

For the Box Sleeve I used an A4 sheet of
Champagne Pearlised Card
(Ross Papers)
And cut out the altered Sleeve Template.

To decorate the Box I used a sheet of
Starry Purple Vellum
(stash)
which I Die-Cut out using the 3rd largest Circles (8pk)
(Sizzix Nestables)
Then I cut it in half and place
one on each of the top semi-circles.
With a strip of Purple Satin Ribbon
(Stash)
along the top.

Next I made My Tag by Die-Cutting
a scrap left over from the Champagne Pearl Card.
Using the Largest Tag Die-Cut
(free from Papercraft Essentials)
and then using the same Die cutting out some
Starry Purple Vellum
(which I trimmed down a little to give an edge)
Then I Fussy Cut out my Little Image
and added it to the bottom of the tag.
Using a 6mm Extention Hole Punch
(XCut)
I punched a hole in the top.
Then finished it off with a Purple Paper Rose
(stash).

To tie the Top together I pierced 2 holes in each flap
and threaded the Purple Ribbon through.
Then threaded the Ribbon through the Tag
and Tied it off with a Bow.

I had printed off 2 images for this project,

1 Little for the Tag and
1 Large for the Card.
Here is a close up of the image.

I coloured in my Images both the same
using my Promarker Pens.
               Skin -             Vanilla
                                     Satin
                                     Dusky Pink (Cheeks)
                                     Black (Lips & Nails)
                                     Lavender (Eyes)
               Hair -              China Blue
                                     Slate
                                     Cool Grey 5
               Necklace -      Slate
                                     China Blue
                                     Black
               Bodice -         China Blue
                                     Slate
                                     Black
               Skirt -             China Blue
                                     Cornflower
                                     Black
               Trousers -      Lavender                                                                               Lilac
                                     Slate
               Wings -          China Blue                                                                             Slate
                                     Cornflower
                                     Lilac
                                     Pastel Blue
                                     Lavender

Next I made my matching Card.

I started off with an A4 sheet of
Champagne Pearl Card
which I cut down to make a 12cm Square Card.

Next I Die-Cut out the Starry Purple Vellum
I used the largest Ornate Square Frame
(XCut).
And Fussy Cut out my Large Image
and placed it on top.

For a Sentiment I used
the 'Enchanting' Clear Stamp
(Fairy Belle Collection - Julie Lee)
using Tuxedo Black Ink
(Memento).

To finish off my card
I Handmade a Double Bow from
the Purple Satin Ribbon.
Put a strip of Pastel Purple Glitter Ribbon
(Crafting Ribbon - Craft)
across the Bottom Corner.
I added some Purple Paper Roses.
And 9 Flat-Back Purple Gems,
on the corner under the Ribbon.
(stash).
