Midway Post, Challenge #34 at Open-Minded Crafting

It's Saturday,
which means its the Halfway Post over at Open-Minded Crafting.

This has been a very hard week for me.
Unfortunately one of my beloved Furbabies died,
my little Smudge.
Even though he was the biggest of my cats he wasn't even 6 years old.
We dont even know why he died as he was healthy and had never had
any problems nor been ill at all.
I realise it was just his time to go, but it still hurts so much.
My other cat Tiger is constantly crying for his 'Brother',
but we have been having lots of hugs and cuddles.

My Project for this
week is:-
Night Owl Digi Stamp
from Pookie Designs at
Stitchy Bear's Digi Shop
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I covered the outside of a Chocolate Box
with Embossed Metallic Copper Paper.
and on the inside of the Lid, and the Well inside,
I covered with Embossed Metallic Red Paper
(both from Craft Planet)

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper.
coloured the Images
using my Promarker Pens.

                                                            Ivory            - Candle

                                                            Satin             - Skin
                                                            Vanilla          - Skin
                                                            Blush            - Cheeks
                                                            Lemon         - Hair
                                                            Yellow          - Hair/Flame/Collar
                                                            Gold              - Collar/Cuffs/
                                                            Honeycomb - Top/Neckerchief
                                                            Spice             - Top/Neckerchief/Arms/Boots
                                                            Dusky Rose - Lips
                                                            Poppy          - Waistcoat/Candle Holder
                                                            Grass           - Eyes
                                                            Pine             - Trousers

Then I fussy cut it out and placed
it on the center of the Lid.
To give the Image a bit of sparkle,
I added Xmas Red Glitter to the Waistcoat
and Copper Penny Glitter to the Arm Puffs,
Neckerchief, and the bands on the Trousers.
(both from Glitter Magic)

To fix the Clasp so that it stays shut I used
a piece of  Self Adhesive Hook and Loop.
(Anker International)
And I filled the Inside with some Maxi Tealights
(Tesco)

Finally I added the 'Happy Birthday'
'Make a Wish', Candles and the Stars
from Gold Glitter Peel-Offs
(Glitterations - Papermania).
