As you can tell it is Saturday and therefore its
Mid-Way time at Open-Minded Crafting again.

My Project for this
week is:-
Baroque Clara (with Frame) Digi Stamp
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I chose a pre-cut Craft Card
(Hobbycraft)
Then I cut a 8.5x14.5cm Rectangle of Cream Card
(stash)
and used the Kaleidoscope of Butterflies Die
(Die'sire).
Over the top of it I dusted it with Antique Linen Distress Ink
(Tim Holtz)
to make the embossed bits stand out.

Next I printed off the Image twice
on White DC Paper.
coloured the Images
using my Promarker Pens.

                                               Vanilla                  - Skin

                                               Blush                    - Skin
                                               Satin                     - Skin
                                               Sunkissed Pink   - Cheeks
                                               Coral                     - Lips
                                               Antique Pink       - Lips
                                               Sandstone            - Hair
                                               Tan                       - Hair
                                               Caramel               - Hair
                                               Cinnamon            - Hair
                                               Raw Sienna         - Hair
                                               Lush Green         - Eyes
                                               Warm Grey 2     - Feathers
                                               Warm Grey 4     - Feathers
                                               Warm Grey 5     - Feathers
                                               Metallic Gold      - Frame
                                               Metallic Copper - Frame

I then Cut the Image out in the Oval Frame
to fit inside oval of the Die Cut.
And then fussy cut out the Frame
to fit on top of the Image,
over the Die cut Cream Card.
I went around all ot the edges
with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink
(Tim Holtz)

I added a Jute Butterfly and 2 Jute Flowers
(Jute Shapes - Hobbycraft)
and a Jute Bow
(Hobbycraft)

To the center of the Flowers
I added 10mm Dotted Rhinestones
(stash)
and on the Butterfly I added four 3mm Crystal Rhinestones
(Anitas)
to the body .

For my final touch I added Pastel Yellow
3D Pearl Effects
(Dovecraft)
to the Double Rows of Pearls on the Image.

  1. Very elegant and love the sparkle on her pearls. I have just gotten this image to use and hope I can do her the same justice you have. Cutting the framework out seperately is a great idea. Thankyou for fluttering by # 33. Hugs Mrs A.
